Can I use the tongs or pasta servers in my non stick pans?
Yes, the material they are made of is absolutely non scratch and won’t harm the surface of any pan.
What is the highest temperature that the tongs can be used with?
The tongs can be used up to 230° C
Are they dishwasher safe?
They are perfectly dishwasher safe, although experience tells us that handwashing is better as they don’t take on a soapy taste after extensive washing.
How easy are they to detach and re-attach?
They are very simple to use! This picture shows you how to attach and reattach the pasta server arms. The pasta servers simply hook through the holes as shown in the picture.
When you receive your Litchen Tongs they are stored with the spoons facing the same direction. Simply slide them apart and reverse the spoons and slide them in again. When you are ready to store them flat, repeat the process and make the bowls of the spoons ‘nest’.
What else can I use the Kitchen Tongs for?
The Kitchen Tongs when attached can be used for:
- Salad serving
- Moving food around a pan
- Lifting food off of baking sheets/freezer trays etc
When detached:
- Serving spoon
- Strainer spoon – saves getting a colander dirty
- Spoon for folding cake mix to prevent air loss
- Stirring spoon for sauces etc on stove top
Why would I need multiple colours?
Having a choice of colours not only brightens up your ‘batterie de cuisine’ but it also gives you safe options if you have anyone with dietary issues where the cross contamination by utensils could be an issue. By having colour coded tongs you can define your own safe code and ensure that people can stick to their own colour.
